How do I prepare my laundry for pickup?
Simply place your dirty laundry in any bag or hamper and leave it at your door at the scheduled pickup time. There is no need for special bags, a trash bag, laundry bag, or hamper all work fine. Separate anything that needs dry cleaning or pressing from your regular wash and fold items so we can process each service correctly.
Can I track the status of my laundry order?
Yes. When you sign up through https://app.starchup.com:8080/?facilityId=491, you get access to your account dashboard where you can see your order status, upcoming pickups, and delivery schedule. You will also receive notifications when your laundry is picked up, being processed, and out for delivery. What happens if an item is damaged or lost during cleaning?
Freshly Folded is fully insured and bonded. In the rare event that an item is damaged or goes missing, contact us immediately at (619) 586-5755 or [email protected]. Can I change my pickup day or skip a week?
Absolutely. If you are on a weekly schedule and need to change your pickup day, skip a week, or pause your service temporarily, just let us know through your account or by texting (619) 389-3206. There is no penalty for skipping weeks and no long-term contract locking you in. You have full flexibility to adjust your service as your schedule changes.
Do you wash delicates and special-care items in the wash and fold service?
Our standard wash and fold service handles everyday clothing, towels, bedding, and similar items. For delicates like silk, cashmere, lace, or anything with a dry clean only label, we recommend adding those items to a dry cleaning order instead. If you are unsure about a particular item, just include a note with your bag or text us at (619) 389-3206 and we will advise you.
How does Freshly Folded handle stains on wash and fold orders?
We pre-treat visible stains on every wash and fold order as part of our standard process at no extra charge. For stubborn or set-in stains, we recommend flagging them with a note in your bag so our team gives them extra attention. Our hospital-grade ozone system also helps break down organic stains. If a stain requires specialized treatment beyond wash and fold, we will contact you to discuss dry cleaning options.
Is there an app to schedule Freshly Folded laundry service?
Yes. You can schedule pickups, manage your account, and track orders through app.starchup.com, which works on any phone or computer browser. From there you can set up recurring weekly pickups or schedule one-time on-request service. You can also call (619) 586-5755 or text (619) 389-3206 to schedule by phone if you prefer.
What payment methods does Freshly Folded accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure online system at https://app.starchup.com:8080/?facilityId=491. Your card is charged after each order is weighed and processed, so you only pay for the actual weight of your laundry. There are no upfront deposits or prepayment requirements. You can update your payment method at any time through your account.
Can I send comforters and large bedding items in my laundry order?
Yes. We wash comforters, duvets, quilts, and oversized bedding items using our commercial Maytag and Speed Queen machines, which are large enough to handle king-size comforters. Comforter washing starts at $30.00 per piece. If your comforter requires dry cleaning instead of machine washing, that service starts at $48.00. Include a note with your order or text (619) 389-3206 to confirm.
Does Freshly Folded offer gift cards for laundry service?
