How does Freshly Folded approach garment pressing?
Our published process includes checking fabric and care instructions, pressing, hand-finishing details, and reviewing the garment before packaging. Tell us about delicate trims or existing damage before sending an item.
Do I need to send shirts regularly?
No. Pressing is available on request without a weekly subscription. The $49.99 minimum service charge and separate $5.99 pickup fee apply to each order.
Does Freshly Folded press dress shirts and work clothes?
Yes. Eligible everyday items include dress shirts, button-downs, blouses, slacks, and chinos at $4.50 per item. Confirm pricing and acceptance for blazers, suit jackets, or garments needing special handling.
Can pressing help with clothes I already washed at home?
Yes. Press-only service is for clean clothes that need finishing. It does not include washing, dry cleaning, or stain removal. Check the care label before requesting ironing or steam.
How does the first pressing pickup work?
Book online, use the Freshly Folded mobile app, or call (619) 586-5755. Identify the items that need pressing only, give collection instructions, and confirm the return date. Pressed items are returned on hangers.
What does $4.50 per item include?
It is the pressing price for an eligible everyday garment, not a cleaning price or an all-in pickup total. A $49.99 minimum service charge applies, followed by a separate $5.99 pickup fee covering collection and return.
Can I combine pressing with washing or dry cleaning?
Yes. Tell us which items need cleaning and which need pressing only. The services are charged separately and can contribute to the order minimum. Confirm the return arrangements for mixed orders.
Can every garment have the same crisp finish?
No. Fabric, construction, condition, and care instructions affect the finish. Some garments restrict heat or steam. Discuss crease or starch requests before pickup rather than assuming they suit every item.
What can you press beyond shirts?
The everyday price list includes blouses, trousers, polos, linen shirts, skirts, and casual dresses. For structured jackets, formalwear, decorated or pleated garments, and household textiles, confirm acceptance and a price first.
Where is pressing pickup available?
Pressing pickup is available in served San Diego County communities, including San Diego, Chula Vista, Escondido and La Mesa, and the San Diego neighborhoods of La Jolla and Hillcrest. Check your specific address when booking; a county name alone does not confirm eligibility.
