Freshly Folded collects laundry from eligible Point Loma homes, boats, and businesses and returns standard wash-and-fold orders the next business day. Clothing, towels, bedding, dry cleaning, pressing, and accepted specialty items can be arranged for a single pickup.
Weekly wash and fold is $2.49 per pound, and on-request service is $2.69 per pound. A $49.99 minimum and $5.99 pickup charge apply.
Consider a household living aboard at one of the Point Loma marinas. It is a genuinely good way to live, and they chose it deliberately, but it comes with a fixed constraint: there is no washer aboard, there is no room for one, and there never will be.
That leaves the marina laundry room, which is two machines shared by an entire dock. On a weekend, both are taken, and a load left unattended for twenty minutes tends to reappear on top of the dryer. Sheets and towels are the real difficulty, because a boat runs damp — salt air, condensation, and everything soft holding a little more moisture than it should. Bedding needs washing more often here than it would in a house, and it is precisely what will not fit in a shared machine alongside somebody else’s schedule. And every load means carrying a bag up the dock, through the gate, and across the car park.
The shift is realising the trip up the dock only has to happen once. If the laundry is going to be carried to the gate anyway, it may as well be handed over there and come back clean, rather than carried to a machine, watched, and carried back again in three separate trips.
The household agrees a handoff at the marina gate or the car park, because a driver cannot come down a gated dock and should not be expected to. Collection is arranged for a time somebody can be at the gate, or with the marina office where the office accepts that. Bedding goes out with everything else instead of being rationed around two machines, and the order returns the following business day.
The laundry room becomes optional rather than the only choice. Sheets get washed on the schedule a damp environment actually needs, and the walk up the dock happens once a week with one bag instead of three times an evening.

Marina addresses work differently from street addresses and need arranging rather than assuming. Docks are gated and are not vehicle-accessible, so a slip number is not a place a driver can reach. The workable handoff is the marina gate, the office, or the car park, and it needs a person present or an office willing to hold the order. Confirm what your marina permits before booking, because policies differ between them and Freshly Folded does not control them.
Point Loma also covers steep hillside streets with short driveways and narrow frontage, plus the military installations on the peninsula, where access is governed by the installation rather than by Freshly Folded. Use the service area assigned to the actual booking address.
Send accepted machine-washable clothing, towels, sheets, and ordinary household textiles according to their care labels.

Keep suits, structured garments, formal wear, delicates, and dry-clean-only pieces separate from the wash-and-fold bag. Professional-care items follow their own timeline.
