What is wash and fold?
Wash and fold is a per-pound laundry service: you drop off (or we pick up) your dirty laundry, someone else washes, dries, and folds it, and it’s returned ready to put away. Billed by the pound — $2.49/lb on our standard weekly service in San Diego.
How much does wash and fold cost in San Diego?
$2.35/lb on Freshly Folded’s weekly subscription, $2.49/lb on standard weekly, or $2.69/lb on-request. There’s a $5.99 pickup fee per trip and a $49.99 minimum order. A typical 20 lb load runs $55-$60 all-in.
Is wash and fold the same as fluff and fold?
Yes. Different regional terms for the same service. East Coast and chain laundries often use “wash and fold”; California and the Southwest often use “fluff and fold.” We use both — see our fluff and fold service page for the same offering.

Next-business-day return on standard loads. Schedule pickup before 8 PM, we collect during business hours, your laundry comes back the next business day. Most San Diego customers see a 48-hour total turnaround.

$49.99 per pickup minimum, which is about 20 lbs of laundry — one full kitchen-trash-bag load. Combine wash and fold with dry cleaning items to hit the minimum on lighter weeks.
Do you wash bedsheets and towels?
Yes — both are standard wash and fold items. Bedsheets, pillowcases, bath towels, hand towels, kitchen towels are all included at the per-pound rate. We sort by fabric type before washing.
Can I bring my own detergent?
Yes. Tell us at booking and provide the detergent at pickup. We’ll use yours instead of our standard five options — no extra charge.
Do you wash baby clothes separately?
We can. Tell us at booking that you want baby items run in a dedicated cycle — we’ll keep them separate from other loads and use the detergent of your choice. Common requests are All Free & Clear or 7th Generation.
