Wash and fold means washing, drying and folding your everyday laundry. We collect it from your address and bring it back in clean bags, ready for you to put away. Ordinary items are billed by the pound.

Sorted before the wash
We sort by color and fabric before a machine starts. Flag stains and unusual fabrics before collection so we can discuss suitable care; stain removal is not assured.

Washed with your chosen detergent
Your laundry is washed in commercial Maytag and Speed Queen machines. Our ArtiClean ozone process is included, with no separate upgrade charge.

Dried with the care instructions in mind
Washing and drying instructions both matter. Confirm special drying requests before booking; hand-wash-only or flat-dry items need a separate care discussion.

We fold your laundry by hand and package it in clean bags for the return. Standard household wash and fold comes back the next business day after collection.

Keep these out of the bag
We do not accept hazardous or chemical-contaminated items, bleach-soaked items, pieces beyond our commercial machines' capacity, or delicate beadwork and hand-stitched pieces requiring hand washing. Ask about unusual items before collection.
Everyday clothes
Shirts, pants, sweaters, underwear and socks can go in ordinary wash and fold when their care labels permit machine washing and drying. Structured garments and dry-clean-only pieces need separate service.
Sheets and towels
Machine-washable and machine-dryable bedsheets, pillowcases, bath towels, hand towels and kitchen towels are included at the per-pound rate. Comforters, duvets and large bedding are priced by the item.
Children's and athletic clothing
Send pieces whose labels permit machine washing and drying. For baby clothes, a separate wash or a particular detergent, confirm the arrangement and any charges before pickup. Flag special care for gym clothing too.
Pet bedding and special-occasion pieces
Ask before sending pet bedding, costumes or special-occasion clothing. Describe the fabric, embellishments and any heavy soiling so we can confirm acceptance, handling and price.

At 20 lb, both weekly options reach the minimum, so the subscription does not lower that order's total. At 30 lb, it costs $4.20 less per pickup than standard weekly service.
Four 20 lb standard-weekly pickups total $223.92. That is a four-pickup budgeting example, not a calendar-month price. Your bag's weight and the month's pickup count can vary.

What is wash and fold?
Wash and fold means washing, drying and folding ordinary machine-washable and machine-dryable laundry. Freshly Folded collects it from your address and returns it folded. Standard weekly service is $2.49 per pound, with a $49.99 minimum laundry charge and a separate $5.99 pickup fee. There is no general walk-in counter.
How much does wash and fold cost in San Diego?
Weekly subscription wash and fold is $2.35 per pound, standard weekly service is $2.49 per pound, and on-request service is $2.69 per pound. Each pickup has a $49.99 minimum laundry charge plus a $5.99 pickup fee covering collection and return. A 20-pound wash-and-fold-only order totals $55.98 on either weekly plan or $59.79 on request, before discounts or separately priced items.
Is wash and fold the same as fluff and fold?
At Freshly Folded, both names refer to the same washing, drying and folding service. The name does not change the laundry rate, minimum or pickup fee.
How long does wash and fold take?
Standard household wash-and-fold orders return the next business day after pickup. Choose an available collection window when booking. Confirm the return date for dry-cleaning, special-care or mixed orders before sending them.
What is the minimum wash-and-fold order?
The minimum laundry charge is $49.99 for each pickup. The $5.99 pickup fee is added afterward, making the minimum total $55.98 for an ordinary wash-and-fold-only order before discounts or extras. It is a dollar minimum, not a fixed bag size or weight.
Do you wash bedsheets and towels?
Yes. Machine-washable and machine-dryable bedsheets, pillowcases, and ordinary bath, hand and kitchen towels are included at the per-pound rate. Comforters, duvets and other large bedding are priced separately. Confirm the item and charge before sending it.
Can I bring my own detergent?
Ask before pickup so we can confirm the detergent, handling instructions and any charges. Tide, Gain, All Free Clear, Seventh Generation and Persil are the five listed detergent choices included in the wash-and-fold rate. Confirm the exact available formula if fragrance or ingredients matter to you.
Do you wash baby clothes separately?
Tell us before booking if you need baby clothing washed separately or with a particular detergent. Confirm whether the requested arrangement is available and how it will be charged before including those items.
What if a garment needs special washing or drying?
Read both the washing and drying instructions on the care label. Hand-wash-only, flat-dry, structured or dry-clean-only items do not belong in ordinary machine wash and fold without a separate care discussion. Confirm acceptance, the appropriate service, its price and the return date before collection.
Do I have to be home for pickup?
You can arrange collection without being home by agreeing on an accessible collection spot and a suitable return location. Include building, gate or other access instructions when booking. Pickup operates Monday through Saturday, subject to availability for your address. A $10 missed-pickup fee applies if the pickup is missed.
