A cleaner can come to you

The outfit matters.
The extra trip doesn't.

Consider a week with work meetings on the calendar and a wedding at the weekend. The clothes are chosen. Finding a lunch break for the cleaner is the part that keeps slipping.

Freshly Folded collects dry cleaning across served San Diego County communities. Tell us what you need cleaned and when you need it back, then confirm the item, price and return date before arranging collection.

Dry cleaning uses a solvent-based process instead of ordinary water-based laundering. Care labels, lining, trim and condition all help determine the suitable method.

There is no general walk-in counter. We collect from your agreed location and return your items as arranged.

Start with the garment

A suit. A silk blouse.
A different care label.

These are the categories to discuss with us. The item's label, construction and condition determine the right approach.

Before it goes in the bag

Identify dry-cleaning items separately from ordinary laundry. Share care-label restrictions, stains, previous home treatments and existing damage. Keep dry-clean-only pieces out of standard wash and fold.

The FTC's care-label guidance explains cleaning and finishing restrictions. Silk or wool alone does not tell the whole story.

Workwear & tailored pieces

Two- and three-piece suits, blazers, suit jackets, dress shirts, blouses, business dresses, skirts, ties, scarves, professional coats and corporate uniforms. Check the complete garment, including its lining and trim, before choosing the service.

Occasion wear & gowns

Evening gowns, cocktail dresses, tuxedos, bridesmaid dresses, prom outfits, formal wraps and accessories need care suited to their construction. For bridal pieces, review wedding gown cleaning and preservation and confirm which service you want.

Delicate, designer & vintage

Silk pieces, cashmere sweaters, wool coats and designer garments need their individual care instructions considered. Ask before sending vintage or heirloom pieces, leather, suede, beadwork or unusual trims. A fabric name or designer label does not establish automatic acceptance.

Household textiles

Ask about drapes, curtains, down or synthetic comforters and bedspreads, decorative pillows and special-occasion table linens. Confirm size, material, acceptance, service and the item-specific price before collection.

From collection to finishing

Seven steps.
One considered process.

01Collection with a plan

Confirm the garment, quote and return date, then choose an available pickup window. Keep dry-cleaning items clearly identified and separate from ordinary laundry. Add entry and collection instructions.

02Inspection & identification

We check the fabric, manufacturer care instructions, stains and existing damage, including tears, loose hems and missing buttons. Items are identified for the order; keep your booking details if you need to discuss a particular piece.

03Stain assessment & treatment

Tell us what caused the mark, how long it has been there and what you have already tried. Treatment depends on both the stain and the garment. Complete removal is not assured.

04GreenEarth dry cleaning

Accepted garments are cleaned using the GreenEarth silicone-based process. The method must still suit the care label, fabric, construction and trim.

05A check after cleaning

Garments are checked after cleaning. If you flagged a stain or existing defect, look at that area when your order returns and contact the team with your order details if you have a concern.

06Finishing for the garment

Finishing is part of dry cleaning. Tell us about creases, starch or other preferences so we can confirm suitability and any applicable charge. Heat and steam restrictions still matter.

07Packaged for the return

Confirm hanging, folding or other handling requirements before collection. We prepare your garments for their agreed return. Ask whether a mixed order will return together or separately.

GreenEarth cleaning.
Care for the whole piece.

We use the GreenEarth silicone-based dry-cleaning process. You can read the manufacturer's GreenEarth process fact sheet for the solvent description.

Fabric is only the beginning.

The lining, trim, dyes, condition and care label matter too. Describe delicate details or an unusual construction before sending the garment.

A finish that fits the item.

Confirm your preferences for creases, starch, hanging or folding before collection. Already-clean pieces that only need finishing may suit our pressing service.

For background on solvent choices, see the California Air Resources Board's information on the perc phase-out. A solvent name does not make every garment suitable for the same care.

A workweek. A wedding. A date in mind.

Start with when
you need it back.

Dry cleaning has its own return arrangements. Confirm your date before booking, especially for an outfit you need for a meeting or an event.

Keep the garment's details with your request: what it is, what the label says, any marks or damage, and the finish you prefer.

Ask about your outfit and date
01

Workwear without the extra trip

For a workweek in downtown San Diego, UTC, Sorrento Valley or Mission Valley, agree on collection access and the date your clothes are needed. Read our guide to dry cleaning and wardrobe care.

02

Occasion wear, planned ahead

Tell us the event date and describe embellishments, vintage fabrics or unusual construction. For care between occasions, see our costume cleaning and storage guide.

Where can I find dry cleaners in San Diego?

Freshly Folded provides dry-cleaning pickup and delivery in its listed San Diego County service areas. Confirm your address and an available collection window when booking; you do not need to take the garments to a general walk-in counter.

How much does dry cleaning cost in San Diego?

Freshly Folded’s listed examples are $9.50 for a sweater, $20 for a simple dress, and $22.50 for a two-piece suit. A $49.99 minimum cleaning charge and a separate $5.99 pickup fee apply to each pickup. Confirm a current quote for other garments and special-care items before booking.

What types of garments can you dry clean?

Common categories include suits, blazers, trousers, dresses, blouses, and sweaters. Acceptance and method depend on the particular item’s care instructions, construction, and condition. Ask before sending leather, suede, beaded or vintage garments, or household textiles.

Which cleaning method do you use for delicate fabrics?

We use the GreenEarth silicone-based dry-cleaning process. The care label, construction, and condition of the garment still need to be considered. Confirm any unusual material or trim before collection; the solvent name alone does not establish that every item is suitable.

How does dry cleaning pickup and delivery work?

Confirm the items, quote, and return date, then choose an available collection window and provide access instructions. Keep dry-cleaning items separate from ordinary laundry. The $5.99 pickup fee covers collection and return.

How long does dry cleaning take with Freshly Folded?

Confirm the return date for your garments before booking. If you need an outfit for a particular date, tell us before collection so we can confirm whether the schedule works. For a mixed order, also confirm whether the items will return together or separately.

Can you remove tough stains during dry cleaning?

We assess stains before treatment. Tell us what caused the mark and what has already been used on it. Results depend on the stain, fabric, and condition; some marks cannot be removed completely without risking the garment.

What’s the difference between dry cleaning and wash and fold?

Dry cleaning uses a solvent-based process and is priced per garment. Wash and fold uses water-based machine washing and drying for suitable everyday items and is priced per pound. Check the item’s care label rather than choosing only by fabric name.

What should I know about damage or a stain that will not come out?

Tell us about existing damage and stains before collection, and ask for the applicable service and claims terms before sending a high-value item. If you notice a problem on return, contact the team with your order details and a description or photo of the concern.

Do you dry clean wedding dresses and formal gowns?

Ask us to review the gown’s fabric, construction, embellishments, and condition for an item-specific quote. Cleaning and preservation are different requests; confirm which service you want and what it includes before collection.

Can I trust you with my expensive suits, wedding dress, or designer clothing?

Discuss the specific garment before booking. Share its care label, material, trim, and any existing damage, then confirm acceptance, the proposed service, price, return date, and applicable terms. A designer label alone does not determine the cleaning method.

Do I need to drop off dry cleaning separately, or can it go with my regular laundry?

Tell us you want both services when arranging collection, and keep dry-cleaning items clearly identified in a separate bag. Confirm charges, how the minimum applies, and whether the services return together or separately before booking.

What types of garments should I dry clean instead of wash and fold?

Keep items labeled dry-clean-only out of ordinary wash and fold. For other restrictions, such as hand washing, flat drying, or special finishing, ask which service is appropriate. Do not assume that every silk, wool, or embellished garment requires the same method.

How does your dry cleaning compare to the dry cleaner down the street?

Freshly Folded provides pickup and delivery, uses the GreenEarth process, and prices dry cleaning per garment. Compare providers on acceptance of your item, cleaning and finishing method, total charges, return arrangements, and their current service terms.

Can I get pressing or starching done along with dry cleaning?

Finishing is part of the service, but the appropriate method depends on the garment. Tell us about creases or starch preferences before booking so we can confirm what is suitable and any applicable charge. Already-clean items may need the separate pressing service.

What if I only have one or two dry cleaning items? Is there still a minimum order?

Yes. The $49.99 minimum cleaning charge applies before the separate $5.99 pickup fee. For an ordinary dry-cleaning-only order below the minimum, the total is $55.98 before discounts or extras. If you want to add another service, confirm how the minimum and charges will apply.
